Sunset Junction Street Festival

  • Sunset Junction, 4326 W. Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles
Free

It's the 30th anniversary of the Sunset Junction Street Fair in Silver Lake. It's a big Eastside block party with five music stages featuring a highly eclectic mix of both national and local acts. There are carnival rides, food booths, beer gardens, arts & crafts, a circus, DJ's, street performers and people- watching. A "Locals Only" stage has been added to feature a wide cross-section of local bands.

Highlights include Rastafarian punks' Bad Brains, the communal/hippie vibe of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, retro, blue-eyed soul from Mayer Hawthorne & The County, LA's original punk-funkster's Fishbone, and classic soul from The Whispers and the Ohio Players.

Tickets are available online for $15 and $20 if purchased at the gates. Children under the age of 12 and older than 65 are admitted free.
