On today's show:

Inside The Fox News Bunker

(Starts at 7:45)

Charlize Theron talks with John Horn about why she wanted to produce and star in “Bombshell," the movie about the unlikely feminist heroes at Fox News who took down Roger Ailes. The ensemble, which includes Theron (as Megyn Kelly), Nicole Kidman and Margot Robbie, received a Screen Actors Guild nomination – that group's equivalent of the Academy Awards best picture category. Theron tells John that she didn't initially see any similarities between her and Kelly, but through research found that the journalist's experience in TV news wasn't so different from hers in Hollywood.

Assistants Come Out From the Shadows

(Starts at :45)

John talks with The Hollywood Reporter's Katie Kilkenny about her reporting on the plight of assistants in the entertainment industry: "For Hollywood assistants, fighting for visibility may be the first step toward achieving better work conditions. After launching the #PayUpHollywood hashtag in mid-October to highlight claims of low pay, organizers hosted a town hall on Nov. 24 that previewed a wage survey in which 1,511 industry workers have participated. Now for step two: Releasing new data and mobilizing powerful allies."

It Doesn't Have To Go Unsaid

(Starts at 18:45)

So you made it through Thanksgiving, hopefully without any dinner table fights. But maybe that’s because you bottled something up that you really wanted to unload on friends or relatives who don’t share your views. Well, there’s an art project for that — just in time for Christmas. It’s called "Not at the Dinner Table" – a participatory work that gives folks a chance to cut loose in a recorded phone message directed at that friend or relative. The artist duo who go by Jeff & Gordon launched the annual project about five years ago. The Frame contributor Steven Cuevas dialed in. (You can participate in Jeff & Gordon’s "Not at the Dinner Table" anytime through New Year’s Day. The number to call is 785-268-6858.)
