U.S. Administers First Shots Of COVID-19 Vaccine

The first shots of the vaccine from Pfizer were administered today to medical workers in select hospitals …giving many hope that we will soon start to see the end of the pandemic. Meanwhile, some three million initial doses are being shipped all over the country.  The first batch has come to Los Angeles County and its expected that we may get a half a million doses of the vaccine by the end of the month….assuming all goes well.

Can Employers Mandate the COVID-19 vaccine? It's Complicated. 

With news that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued an emergency use authorization (EUA) for the first COVID-19 vaccine, some employees may wonder: can my employer require me to take it? According to Dorit Reiss, a professor of law at the University of California Hastings and a member of The Vaccine Working Group on Ethics and Policy, the COVID-19 and EUA situation is unprecedented enough that there is legal uncertainty around employer vaccine mandates.
