Huizar Arrested

Longtime Los Angeles City Councilman Jose Huizar was arrested by the FBI this morning. He faces a racketeering charge rising from allegations that he took cash bribes and campaign donations in exchange for helping high-rise development projects secure city approval. Huizar chaired the influential Planning and Land Use Management Committee.

Ask an expert: Coronavirus cases going up

Yesterday, L.A. County public health director Barbara Ferrer announced an additional 2 and a half (2,571) thousand COVID 19 cases, along with an additional 18 deaths. That brings up the county total to almost 86 thousand (85,942) cases. But still ,the state is moving forward with easing into reopening. So what should we have in mind as cases seemingly tick up, and the stay at home order relaxes?
