Pasadena Elementary School Closures
Pasadena is a relatively affluent community. But for years, the Pasadena Unified School District has been strapped for cash. Budget reserves are running low. Enrollment has been declining. So, last night, Pasadena Unified School Board members voted to close 3 of the district’s 17 elementary schools. Vaping Illness and THC
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control released two reports today about the recent spike in vaping illnesses. The information was based on interviews with patients in Wisconsin in Illinois, where 86 people have been diagnosed with the mysterious illness. We reached out to the California Public Health Department to find out how the epidemic is playing out here. The investigation is ongoing, but the health department said that almost all 100 people in California who have been diagnosed with lung damage from vaping either vaped or "dabbed" THC and CBD cannabis products in cartridges, waxes, oils, and other forms.
