FilmWeek Marquee: ‘Babylon,’ ‘Living’ and ‘Women Talking’

Published December 23, 2022 at 10:05 AM PST
Judith Ivey and Claire Foy sit together in a barn. There are stacks of haybales against the wall behind them. The barn doors are open, letting in the cool, gray light of the early morning as the gray sky and flat landscape can be seen through the opening. Ivey sits to he right of Foy. She wears a long sleeved black dress that covers her arms to her shoulders and up her chest. Her hair is covered by a matching black scarf so only her face is visible. Ivey wraps one arm around Foy as the women press their foreheads together. Foy wears a similar head scarf and dress, except that her dress is dark blue with a light purple flower pattern. Foy's head lightly rests on Ivey's shoulder. Foy's hands are in her lap, one holding the hand of Ivey that is not wrapped around Foy's shoulders. Both women have their eyes closed, their expressions somber. They seem to be consoling each other.
