When Emma Thompson learned Skydance Animation hired the disgraced Pixar CEO John Lasseter despite sexual misconduct allegation, she backed out of a project with the company. But Thompson didn’t stop there. She penned a powerful letter calling out Skydance for placing Lasseter in leadership. When Thompson was met with silence, she then decided to publish the letter in the LA Times. It became a landmark moment echoing the momentum of #MeToo and TimesUp.
