Inland Empire Jobs

About four million people live in the Inland Empire and hundreds of thousands of jobs have been created there. Yet only about 4 in 10 jobs pay enough for families to make ends meet. That mismatch is the focus of a new report from the Center for Social Innovation at UC-Riverside. It's called "State of Work in the Inland Empire.”

Uber E-Bikes

The Los Angeles Department of Transportation just gave Uber a conditional operating permit to expand its Jump e-bike and e-scooter program in Los Angeles with 3,000 on-demand vehicles. It's part of Uber's goal of giving people more options to get around without a personal car, and the city's efforts to reduce traffic congestion by getting more people into so-called micro transit.
