OC DA On Mass Incarceration, Racial Disparities And More

Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer says he will drop the charges against an orthopedic surgeon who appeared in a reality TV dating show, at a news conference in Santa Ana, Calif., on Tuesday. He cited insufficient evidence in the case.

Earlier this month, Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer issued a statement in which he acknowledged that “e as a society have engaged in systemic mass incarceration” and laid out policy positions that include ending mass incarceration and the establishment of Recidivism Reduction Units.
