LAUSD may try again to give an iPad or computer to every student
iPads are still a touchy subject in the Los Angeles Unified School District, even four years after district leaders canceled a $1.3 billion plan to put an iPad in the hands of every student. Now, district officials are ready to try that idea again, floating a new, cheaper plan to outfit each student with a device. Officials say they've learned from the mistakes of the past. But on Thursday, their new plan hit a speed bump.
