Catch a glimpse of a theatrical tea party; partake in free ice skating; or root for the Angel City Derby Girls as they close their roller derby season. It's all happening this weekend in Los Angeles.

Here's everything you need to know:

1. A play about Skid Row enacted by the people of Skid Row

Meet Skid Row’s intricate and vibrant community in "Love on San Pedro," a production from Cornerstone Theater Company. Of the 25 actors performing, three are Cornerstone ensemble members while the other 22 actually come from Skid Row, according to Downtown News. The play is a part of The Hunger Cycle, the theater's ongoing effort to highlight topics like food equity, farming and community gardens.

4. Free ice skating at the Santa Anita Mall

While East Coasters are tweeting and Instagramming photos of the first snowfall of 2013, we in SoCal are still sporting T-shirts and sandals. But that doesn't mean that we can't find a reason to bust out the scarves and boots this weekend. Santa Anita Mall is offering free admission to its skating rink until Nov. 24 — this includes free ice skate rentals, too! Stop by for the mall's holiday party from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday (details below) .
