With only 36 days before the March 5 primary, the five top candidates for Los Angeles mayor faced off Monday night in a live TV debate at UCLA’s Royce Hall.
The discussion touched on issues that extended from California's strained education and transportation systems, to and proposed changes to Los Angeles International Airport and candidates' ideas for spurring on a green economy.
The candidates are vying to replace outgoing Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. If no candidate receives a majority of the vote in the primary, the top two finishers face off in a May 21 runoff.
KPCC reporters Frank Stoltze and Molly Peterson live-tweeted the debate. Check back for archived video, and check out KPCC's collected reporting on the L.A. mayoral race.
