Meet Henry Stern: A Virtual Event With A Los Angeles County Supervisor Candidate

6:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Monday, April 11, 2022

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors controls a budget of more than $36 billion and makes the laws that govern a population of more than 10 million. Needless to say, this five-member board holds an enormous amount of power. Sheila Kuehl, the supervisor for the third district, is retiring. Ahead of the June 7 primary, KPCC/LAist and KCRW are hosting a series of one-on-one interviews with the candidates to replace her. KCRW host Steve Chiotakis (he/him) will be asking the candidates questions that matter most to you. Share yours below.

Henry Stern (he/him) has represented California’s 27th Senate District (parts of L.A. and Ventura counties) since 2016. Prior to his election, he was a senior advisor to his predecessor, Fran Pavley. Stern is an environmental attorney and was counsel to former Congressman Henry Waxman on the House Energy & Commerce Committee. Stern was born in Malibu and will turn 40 prior to the June primary.

Meet the Los Angeles County Supervisor Candidates series is produced in partnership with KCRW.
