Cheech & KPCC—It’s a pledge drive party!

On Tuesday, Oct. 8, Off-Ramp’s John Rabe hosted KPCC's first pledge drive party right here in our Crawford Family Forum. The evening featured a live broadcast/video stream of actor, director, comedian, author, and Chicano art collector Cheech Marin in conversation with KPCC editor Oscar Garza about his newest book Chicanitas: Small Paintings from the Cheech Marin Collection {size doesn’t matter}.

Ace pitchers John Rabe and KPCC public safety reporter Rina Palta took the stage for their on-air pitching duties for the first time ever in front of a live audience. The evening will be underscored by live music from Conjunto Los Pochos' core members Otoño Luján on the button-accordion and Elliott Baribeault on the bajo sexto.
