San Bernardino police have arrested a man accused of killing his ex-wife and daughter early Wednesday morning.

Lieutenant Brian Tully says 42-year-old Jordan Sartorio was living with his ex-wife, Miraflor, and they were trying to work on their relationship.

"At some point during the morning hours, there was an argument between Miraflor and Jordan, which caused Jordan to become angry. He then used a knife to stab her several times. His six year old daughter woke up and began screaming and he stabbed and killed [her] as well," Tully said.

Tully said Sartorio also tried to kill himself before calling authorities to report the incident.

The San Bernardino Sun reports that neighbors were stunned by the incident and that police said there was no history of domestic violence at the address.
