Ben Adair
Benjamin Adair has been a journalist in Los Angeles for the past 14 years. Before joining 89.3 KPCC to create and host Pacific Drift, he produced PRI's The Savvy Traveler, which was heard on more than 200 public radio stations over its seven-year run. He has contributed to and consulted on many public radio programs including All Things Considered, Marketplace, The Next Big Thing and Latino USA. His publishing credits include Gig: American's Talk about their Jobs at the Turn of the Millennium (New York: Crown, 2000).
Adair was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Los Angeles to attend Occidental College. He has been all over the world chasing stories - from Homer, Alaska to Swakopmund, Namibia to Karakol, Kyrgyzstan and many places in between. His favorite city in the world, however, is Los Angeles. He loves this city for its diversity, the range of cultures - from high culture to pop culture to street culture- the mountains, the ocean and the sunlight. But, most of all, the food!

Afterwards, she was awarded a Fulbright grant to teach English in Seoul, Korea. Queena has traveled extensively through Asia and attended the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism.

Ayala Ben-Yehuda

She also spent four years in New York, shoveling snow off her car and writing stories for Newsday, TimeOut, Gear and the TimesLedger. Ayala began her radio career at WFUV and then returned to L.A. to work at Marketplace, Weekend America and NPR-West. She joined Pacific Drift in its second season.
